Paul Rumanda Rugambwa is a management executive and global remuneration professional with over 20 years of experience across Uganda, East, and Southern Africa. His career spans purpose-driven organizations, health, automotive, and telecommunications, giving him a broad, cross-sector view of how people and strategy drive results. He currently serves as Head of Human Resources at the Infectious Diseases Institute-Makerere University, where he leads on people & culture, organizational effectiveness, and transformation. He is also President of the Human Resource Managers' Association of Uganda, providing national stewardship to the HR profession. Paul contributes to corporate governance as a member of the Board Audit & Risk Committee of ICEA Lion Life Uganda, and serves on the boards of Jesuit Refugee Service Uganda and ISPI Africa. A Global Remuneration Professional certified by WorldatWork (USA), he holds an MBA from HeriotWatt University, Edinburgh, as well as postgraduate and undergraduate qualifications in human resource management and the social sciences.
