Paul Rumanda Rugambwa

Paul Rumanda Rugambwa is a management executive and global remuneration professional with over 20 years of experience across Uganda, East, and Southern Africa. His career spans purpose-driven organizations, health, automotive, and telecommunications, giving him a broad, cross-sector view of how people and strategy drive results.
He currently serves as Head of Human Resources at the Infectious Diseases Institute-Makerere University, where he leads on people & culture, organizational effectiveness, and transformation. He is also President of the Human Resource Managers' Association of Uganda, providing national stewardship to the HR profession.
Paul contributes to corporate governance as a member of the Board Audit & Risk Committee of ICEA Lion Life Uganda, and serves on the boards of Jesuit Refugee Service Uganda and ISPI Africa.
A Global Remuneration Professional certified by WorldatWork (USA), he holds an MBA from HeriotWatt University, Edinburgh, as well as postgraduate and undergraduate qualifications in human resource management and the social sciences. His expertise spans strategic HR leadership, total rewards, risk and governance, and talent development.
